Private Pheasant Hunts + World-Class Shooting Next Door
About Us
Welcome to Rapid Rooster
Rapid Rooster isn’t your typical pheasant farm. Located beside one of the Midwest’s best shooting complexes, we build unforgettable full-day experiences—not just hunts.
A Typical Day
Morning at the shooting complex (bunker trap or sporting clays—fun or competition), lunch at mid-day, and an afternoon pheasant hunt.
Customizable Experiences
Tailor your event to your group. Options include:
Long-range rifle shooting
Pistol tactical course
Rim-fire steel course
Prairie dog hunting (seasonal/availability)
Large groups can split: some hunt morning, others afternoon.
Seasons & Limits
2025–2026 Regular Season: Oct 18 – Jan 31, 2026. Daily limit: 3 pheasants per hunter (state regulations).
Future Preserve Season (pending license): Starting Sept 1, 2026 through March 2027, daily limit up to 20 birds per hunter.
Note: Regular season limits apply until the preserve license is active.
Pricing
We don’t sell pheasant hunts—we sell pheasants.
PRICING for pheasant hunting only (corporate or group hunts, see the specific pricing page).
$50 per bird released, with a 25-bird minimum per day.
Pricing may adjust if bird limits change.
Additional Hunting
Our hunting area offers excellent cover, and pheasants are released prior to hunts. Grouse and partridge are native to the ranch and may be taken in season and within state limits at no extra charge (proper licensing required).
